I have collected dozens of seeing eye pendants and charms while traveling. My friends also send me eyes that they discover. One buddy sent me a picture of her breakfast fried egg that looked like a seeing eye, thus making her think of me. This particular eye I designed after traveling around Greece and Morocco and looking at the glass eyes in all of the markets. Charms and decorations with eye-like symbols are used to repel the evil eye. They are a common site throughout Turkey, Israel, Egypt, India, Mexico and Morocco. This one is made of turquoise and enamel with a gold vermeil over sterling silver back. It is nice and thick with a blue sapphire iris. It is my modern interpretation of the protective talisman.
